Hi all! It has been quite a while since I have posted in this area! I have been
E X T R E M E L Y busy organising my wedding (only 22 days… I’m not counting… HA) and I have not had time to even sit down and take a breath. Today I decided to take some time out of my day and talk about something that has been on my mind lately. It is something that I have caught myself doing quite a bit lately and since it is Summer here in Spain it is beach and pool season and I know many girls are doing exactly the same thing as me. So let’s have a chat!

Many people always tell me that I am extremely confident within myself and also ask me how they can become that confident within their bodies. The truth is that I have worked so very hard mentally (and physically) to get to where I am today and to feel the way I do about my body. Although most days I do wake up and feel extremely confident and show my body some love by picking out areas that I really like about myself, for example:




“Wow! My eyes are beautiful and big”


“Damn my bootay is popping today!”


“I am a very kind person. I love to help people in any way I can. What a beautiful trait”





I do wake up some days absolutely hating certain areas of my body and I’ll literally sit there pulling and tugging at my tummy thinking “if only I had a flat stomach everyday with a few abs showing through” or “Urgh freaking cellulite you can piss right off!”. Let’s just be real, we ALL have insecurities in terms of our bodies. It is inevitable. No matter how hard you work to fix one part of your body that you feel needs adjusting, when you are happy with that area you will find another area that you are not so happy with and it is just a vicious cycle. Even the most beautiful celebrities have insecurities about themselves, so remember it is not just you!

We are extremely hard on ourselves. We are all different. We are all unique. That part of your body that you are hating on is usually the part of your body that people admire when they look at you. I can almost hear you say “but in school people always tease me about this and about that”. FORGET ABOUT SCHOOL! When you are done with school whatever those bullies have said to you means absolutely nothing! It should mean nothing to you right now! Usually people pick on certain areas of your body because they are insecure about themselves and the body part they choose to bully you about is generally the area that they wish they had. I remember when I was in school I was always told that I had a “fat ass”, in those exact words. Obviously I became a little self-conscious about my buttocks but I now see the girls that used to say that crap to me, at the gym working on getting a BIGGER BUTT! Like seriously, are you going to take in what those people say and lose sleep over it?? I sure as hell wouldn’t because it DOESN’T. MEAN. ANYTHING.

One insecurity about my body is that I feel like my hips are too wide. I honestly look at my body and think “my hips are so big that it makes my body look disproportionate” and other people have told me “I really wish I had your body shape” or “wow your curves are amazing, I wish I had curves like yours!”


We all wish we had something that someone else has! Doing this is not abnormal, it is actually completely normal! JLo does this. Kim K does this. Jennifer Lawrence does this. Everyone does this! In saying that this is normal it does not mean that it is fair to ourselves or our bodies. By doing this, we speak negatively to ourselves. Our minds work like muscle memory. If you are not used to training legs, well it is tough at the beginning and you don’t feel strong at all. However, if you keep training you become stronger and stronger. If one day you are injured or become ill and you have to stop training for a few weeks or months, when you come back to training, although you feel a lot weaker, it will never be as difficult to build up that strength again as it was the first time. Your mind works exactly the same! Repetition strengthens any aspect in life. Just like studying for an exam. You repeat everything to remember answers in your exam and no matter how much you think you have forgotten throughout the years, you will never completely forget anything you have repeated to yourself over and over again.

So why don’t we start being kind to ourselves and more positive and start loving our bodies for what they are. I would like for all of you reading to try and do something for me and most importantly for yourselves. Wake up every morning and look at yourself in the mirror, and this time instead of focusing on the areas that you don’t really fancy, focus on parts of your body that you love as you try and reach your goals of forming abs, or cutting your hair because your don’t particularly like the style. Doing this has made me change the way I feel and the way I treat my body. You should do the same!

Before & After (2011-2016) – My change to a healthier lifestyle

I know these photos are pretty far apart but I have been on and off with my healthy eating and workout routines the past few years therefore I haven’t had drastic changes in just a few months. I have worked so hard to get to where I am now and I could not be happier. I am in no way saying that I absolutely love the way I look right now and that there is nothing I want to change, I mean I still have a long way to go in terms of loosing a little bit more weight and toning my body, but I am looking and feeling a lot better than I did a few years ago!

When looking at before and after pictures of myself I do not only look at my physical appearance but I also associate the way I look in the photos with how I was feeling both mentally and emotionally at that particular time of my life.

Back in 2011 I was not happy at all with the way I looked. I did not particularly like getting photos taken of me because I felt embarrassed and I forced myself to smile. Although at this time I was not going through a bad situation I just felt down about my weight, my belly, my arms and legs and I just wanted to hide them all the time because I felt extremely uncomfortable! (I’m not playing the woe me card at all, I’m just explaining how I was feeling at the time in order to compare the difference from then to now). I was feeling lethargic all the time and just really weak. I tried to go on a diet and eat less and healthier foods but I was always discouraged because I never saw a difference so I would just give up, get upset, complain and continue not caring about what foods I consumed. When you are feeling this way emotionally it is extremely difficult to change the way you think about eating the right foods and also being patient about noticing results. I always expected results right away. I did not know anything about having a balanced diet back then, I just thought that not eating would help me lose weight. I would not eat much for a few days so I was always really hungry and that is how I became discouraged because when I didn’t see results in two days I would binge eat and what a shock, I wouldn’t lose the weight! I knew that I needed to make a change but now looking back I just didn’t have the confidence and the willpower to commit to a healthy lifestyle.

In the year of 2013 is where I felt that my life changed for the better in terms of weight loss. At this time I went on a bit of an emotional roller coaster ride, I went through a bit of depression and my anxiety was at its peak due to a few things that happened that year. To try and deal with all of this I decided to turn to YouTube and found Blogilates. I would literally sit there on the couch and watch Casey’s workout videos; I wouldn’t just watch five seconds of the video I would watch the entire 10-15 minutes without even doing the workout myself. I saw how happy she looked and sounded while doing the exercises and I also read the comments on her videos and read about how happy people were about the results they were seeing from doing her workouts which in turn made me feel happier so I decided to one day give it a go. I bought myself a cheap yoga mat from Kmart and put on her ‘Pilates for Beginners’ video and started following her instructions. It was damn hard but I got through it and after that workout I was hooked! I guess you could say I turned a little Khloé Kardashian getting really into my workouts (a slight exaggeration but you know what I mean, right?) I could not and did not want to stop working out! I was working out every day doing at least five Blogilates videos a day and then I realised that Casey released a workout calendar every month stating which workouts to do every day so I then began to follow these calenders and added 20 minutes of cardio which was running on the treadmill (I did start off with walking and running until I was able to jog the entire 20 minutes 🙂 ). I felt so good! I loved the pain the days following a good hardcore workout and I just loved feeling the sweat drip from my body! Gross but true.

I also slowly started going to the gym which I never wanted to step foot in due to my anxiety of being in a closed space with many people that seemed to know exactly what they were doing. I would literally work up a sweat before I even stepped foot in the gym. But I did it and I can now walk into a gym by myself with no issues 😀 I just suddenly woke up to myself and realised that everyone that goes to the gym is there for the same reasons as me – for results and to live a healthier lifestyle.

Fast forward to now, February 2016, and I am feeling amazing! I am starting to really like the way I look and I am absolutely loving the way I am feeling. I now know the importance of having a balanced diet! Working out has become a big part of my life and I cannot see myself stopping. Exercising and feeding my body the right foods has made me feel less lethargic, happier and has helped me sleep so good throughout the night! I have also started attending F45 sessions which are INTENSE but absolutely amazing. If you like to SWEAT and feel those muscles shake by the end of a workout I definitely recommend looking into taking up some F45 classes, you will not be disappointed! I now spend my money on workout attire because I have become a bit obsessed with working out… I love it!

I hope you enjoyed reading about my change throughout the years to a healthier me. I would like to thank one of my best friends Alyssa who has helped me so much this past year with pushing me to do things that are out of my comfort zone in terms of exercising and for always supporting me and helping me get through my “I can’t do this” phases. If you are wanting to make a change toward a healthier you, take the plunge! It took me a few years to get to where I am but if I can do it I am 110% CERTAIN that you can do it as well. Go out and by yourself some cute workout clothes and a good pair of runners (Asics is the way to go) and also watch peoples transformations on YouTube or download the Blogilates app to be a part of the Blogilates community, by doing these things it motivates you to go hard and it will help you realise that you have to work hard and be patient to notice results 🙂

Stylish New Year’s Eve | #WeAreFamily

This time of year is filled with glam, sparkle and most importantly getting ready for new beginnings. As they say “out with the old and in with the new” and may I add, with style!

I love to dress up and look fab to enter the New Year! It makes me feel happy, fresh and prepared to take on whatever the New Year may have in store for me. Although I feel that time flies by super quick and sometimes I become extremely overwhelmed with how much there is to do in so little time, I find myself being very excited to enter a new year because this means I can look back at the year I have had. Not only am I able to look back and learn from the mistakes I have made, I can also look back and be proud of what I have achieved throughout the year.

Spending time with my loved ones at this time is most important to me. I love to spend the final evening of the year laughing, eating, and looking back at the good times with my family. I really like to do all this looking great and feeling fine 😛

I’m not sure if you do the same, but I always purchase something new to wear for the New Year. I believe that wearing something that has never been worn before into the New Year helps celebrate the next chapter and new beginnings in our lives. I especially love to wear a pretty dress and this year I have opted for a dress full of sequins! 2015 has been full of ups and unfortunately mostly downs, therefore I decided to go for a dress that will help me feel bright and happy. This dress is a gorgeous royal blue colour! The front side of the dress is full of patterns that are  made from the sequins that make the dress very glamorous. The back has no sequins and is a stretchy material. As you can see from the pictures one side of the dress is longer than the other.

Killer Queen by Katy Perry | Perfume Review

One of Katy Perry’s most recent perfume, which goes by the name ‘Killer Queen’, has got to be one of my favourite perfumes! I received this as a gift for my birthday and I instantly fell in love with the packaging.The bottle in which this delicious liquid goodness is contained is shaped as a red ombré jewel with gold detailing. Along with its ever so powerful, yet sophisticated packaging, the scent of this perfume is absolutely amazing. It is sweet but at the same time this scent carries with it some kind of elegance.

It is extremely difficult to fault anything about this perfume, however, the only thing I do believe that could be slightly improved is how long the scent of the perfume stays on your skin. Don’t get me wrong, the perfume remains for quite a while, but the scent does begin to change in terms of it’s original sweetness, becoming more of a dry scented perfume. In saying this, the elegance and sophistication does remain quite nicely. Like I said, pretty difficult to find any negatives!!

In my opinion, ‘Killer Queen’ is suitable for women of all ages! So please ladies, if you can get your hands on this perfume you must try it for yourself; you will not be disappointed in the slightest 🙂

Benefit’s CORALista Blush | Product Review

Corals are of benefit to you this Spring & Summer 😉

A beautiful coral shimmer in the Spring and Summer days is a perfect addition to your makeup, giving your face a fresh glow.

I purchased Benefit’s ‘CORALista’ blush in America a few weeks ago, and I must say that I am loving it! I strongly believe that this blush is a Spring/Summer makeup collection must have. Sweep this beautiful powder on your cheeks with either a small amount of makeup for an everyday look or a glam night out makeup look.

Although this gorgeous blush adds a stunning highlight to the cheekbones, I found that the vibrant coral colour that is evident in the funky box is not as pigmented on the cheeks as one would assume.

Depending on how you like to apply your blush, you may want to take it easy with miss CORALista as when attempting to build-up the colour on the cheeks you may end up with much more shimmer than you were expecting and not as much colour. In saying this, I really do love the lovely highlight that this blush adds to my complexion with a soft hint of coral! I think that this colour looks beautiful on every skin tone, however I especially love how it looks on olive toned complexions.

Back on Board!

Hey guys!

I know that I have abandoned my blog for a while and I’m really really sorry about that! I have been super busy with school, work and my Youtube channel that I did not have time to put up posts on my blog. I have missed it so much and I am going to try my hardest to make time in my week to write a post as I have always found it relaxing to just type my thoughts onto a blog x

What have I been up to lately?
Well, I have just returned home from a trip to the USA with my family! I had so much fun and it was so nice to be able to spend some quality time with my family as we have all been really busy, whether it be with school or work or just life in general, we all know the feels… Q: Would you guys like to see photos from my trip to the USA?
At the moment I am working on editing some vlog footage from my trip and I will also be filming a USA Haul (eeeep cannot contain my excitement!)

Also, I’m really excited about Saturday 20th September!! IMATS is on in Sydney and some of us Australian Youtubers will be getting together in the evening near the Opera House 😀 I will have more details about it real soon! If you guys would like to come and meet us and take some snaps we will all be so happy to meet each and everyone of our viewers 😀 xx
