SPAIN TRAVEL VLOGS

Buenos dias!

How is everyone doing? I have been having so much fun with my fiancé here in Spain! From going to see castles, to partying it up at the fiestas in the villages around us, going on road trips to hand out our wedding invitations and also seeing some amazing views, with human nature at it’s finest 🙂

I have been vlogging on the weekends so that you can join in the fun and see the amazing sceneries through our eyes. I know many of you have been dying to hear Jairo speak English so I have been trying my hardest and at times I catch little snippets of him trying and it is the cutest thing! His cute Spanish accent is to die for 😀

Currently on my channel I have two Spain Travel Vlogs. I have worked really hard on both of them and it would mean the world to me if you could head on over to my channel and leave a comment on my latest videos letting me know if you enjoyed my video; constructive criticism is more welcome also!

Here are my new vlogs:

I FAILED!

I know, I failed… 😦doh

I really thought I was going to be able to post on my blog every day in April but I just couldn’t because of jet lag and being sick with the flu. I physically and mentally could not do it 😦 Gosh I should have known it wasn’t a good idea to start this challenge when I know how difficult jet lag can be. I’m sorry guys! I am going to really attempt to upload more regularly because I feel really bad! I don’t just feel bad because I failed but I also feel upset because I failed myself as I absolutely love posting blog posts for you all. It is really fun for me and to be honest it is almost therapeutic.

I am in the middle of uploading a haul video, literally it’s at 50%! It has taken me days to upload because it hasn’t been working! I’m not sure what is going on! If you follow me on Instagram I have spoken about the situation and had a rant about how I have been having trouble posting videos since I have arrived in Spain. In saying this, it seems to be working now so I really hope it doesn’t bugger up on me and continues to go strong and complete the upload. I’m super excited to share with you guys this haul because I have some new beauty products that I am excited to try out 😀

Also, I will be posting a product review in the next couple of days on my blog so stay tuned for that. It is going to be on a newly discovered concealer that I LOVE! I cannot wait to post the review and share my thoughts with you all. Hopefully it convinces you to try it out too because it is such a good product. If you are interested in sticking around for that post, please follow my blog by clicking follow or also subscribing by email so that you are notified of when it goes up.

At the moment I am actually having an ITSJUDYSLIFE MARATHON! I very frequently get in these moods where I decide on a youtuber that I want to watch and then I’ll spend a few days literally binge watching their videos from the first videos that they have on their channel to the most recent one! Does anyone else do this? Or am I the only weirdo out? Let me know! I’m absolutely loving it! You all know that I love Judy. She is one of my favourite youtubers and the first youtuber that I started watching years ago! So I am really enjoying this marathon. I wish I had some popcorn or M&M’s with me…

Easter is this week so I hope you all have a fantastic Easter and eat many chocolate eggs! Yum!

happy easter

I hope you understand my situation and I am looking forward to posting again.

TRAVEL MAKEUP ESSENTIALS

And… I have already failed my April challenge! The flight was so long and tiring that when I got to Spain I zonked out immediately. I am jet lagged at the moment and it’s 2am of day 3 in Spain. Honestly, to beat jet lag the only thing you can really do is soldier on and try and stay awake until night but I just was not functioning and fell asleep at 6pm, woke up at 12:15pm and now I am awake. Hopefully I can fall asleep really soon to be ready for tomorrow because we are on the search for snow! I’m going to try and do weekly vlogs on my channel so stay tuned! The next words you will read are what I was supposed to have posted day 3 of my April challenge. I had written it last month so it was ready to go 🙂 Enjoy xx

April 3rd, 2017

Today is the day! We are leaving for Spain tonight so I’m preparing myself for the 26 hour flight! I mean, we are not actually on the plane for a whole 26 hours, but we are actually travelling for that amount of time. So 16 and a half hours to get to Doha in Qatar (obviously flying with Qatar airline) and another 8 or so hours to get to Madrid, Barajas. When my next post goes up I will be in beautiful Spain! Apparently it has been snowing so maybe with a bit of luck we get to see some snow!

I don’t know about you but I really enjoy watching and reading what makeup products people pack for their trip. I just find that it kind of gives me ideas on what to pack when I travel. I’m the type of person that ALWAYS over packs to the max so it is actually really good for me to get ideas on just the essentials to include in my travel makeup bag. In saying this, I have been getting better which is great!

Since I believe that I have improved in this aspect of packing for a trip I decided to let you guys in on what makeup essentials I will be taking with me to Spain! Honestly, it is not a big deal if I forget anything at home because let’s just be real, Spain has makeup stores just like in Australia so if I do forget anything or if I am running low on any of the products, I can always buy whatever it may be over there. However, there are some products from Australia that Spain may not have. For example, although Spain does stock Maybelline, I have not seen the Brow Satin Brow Pencil on display and this product is a MUST for me (if you have seen my Current Favourites video you would have seen this guy featured 😉 ). Therefore, this product is one that I have bought a couple of to take with me because I’m worried that I won’t find anything that I will like as much.

Let’s get into it!!

FACE:

1. Let’s just start with the product that I have mentioned already, the Maybelline Brow Satin Eyebrow Pencil. I find that this brow pencil could be a dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Whiz. I actually bought what was left of this product at the 40% Off Priceline Sale because I love it that much that I cannot leave the country without it!

2. The Maybelline Fit Me Foundation. I don’t actually remember seeing this in Spain but I’m sure they do have it and I just missed it while I was there. This foundation is my all time favourite everyday foundation.

3. L’Oreal Infallible Foundation. I actually discovered my love for this foundation in Spain! I had run out of my foundation while I was over there so I decided to give the L’Oreal one a go and now it is my favourite foundation if I want to wear a little more makeup than usual, like for a night out for example. I like to take it from here so that I just have it in my colour and I don’t inconvenience myself in the first couple of days while I am jetlagged to go and buy it, but at least when I end up running out if it I can get it from there which is a plus!

4. My Australis Fresh and Flawless powder in deep natural is definitely a must! Obviously Spain doesn’t stock the brand Australis and their powder is my favourite to set my under eye area! Definitely not forgetting that one.

5. The next essential is the Rimmel setting powder in the shade translucent. Now this one is not a MUST but I like to have it with me so that I at least have one for the first week or so that I am in Spain. I have found a dupe in Spain that is the Catrice powder. I have actually posted a review of this product and brand on my blog. Here is the link to is if you are interested in reading about the brand —>> It is cheaper than the Rimmel powder and just as good!

6. BECCA Highlight in Moonstone! I love this highlight! I don’t even know if they stock BECCA in Spain! Maybe in the big cities like Madrid and Barcelona, but where I live they do not have stores like MECCA and SEPHORA which sucks big time! So I definitely have to take this one with me!

7. MAC blush in Breezy which I love! This blush is perfect for the Spring and Summer as it is Spring right now in Spain it is a thumbs up from me. Another thing with MAC is that they do not stock it near me! If I want to get something from MAC I have to travel 2-3 hours!

EYES:

1. MAC eyeshadow in Saddle comes with me everywhere I go. I don’t think I would be able to live without this eyeshadow! It’s a shadow that always gets me out of travel and I use it for me everyday makeup routine (Click here —>> “Everyday Makeup Routine” to check out my video).

2. The eyeliner that I never let myself run out of as I always stock up on it every time I see that in a few days I will not be able to keep sharpening. It is the Maybelline Master Liner in Kohl!

3. Last but not least my new favourite L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara! I don’t really have to say much about this mascara other than it is A M A Z I N G!

Aaaaaaannndd I cannot go without my Morphe brushes! Clean and ready to board the flight with me.
There you have it guys! My travel makeup essentials 🙂

I hope you guys have a great day and I’ll see you in Spain!

ONE DAY TO GO & PACKING FOR SPAIN

One day to go! My goodness, with the weather that we have been having lately I’m not sure whether we will be jumping on a plane to fly to Spain or hopping on a boat! It has been raining so much and there has been so much flooding. Unfortunately along with this kind of weather comes tragic accidents. I would like to take a second to send out my love and condolences to those who have lost loved ones in this dangerous weather. Also, to those who have been injured, I wish you a speedy recovery.

Since I have hardly any time left I have decided to finally start packing. Yes, I have become one of those people who put packing off until the very last minute. I never used to be like this but I feel like when you become more of a frequent traveller you start to realise that you don’t need to start packing one or two months in advance! I know, I know. From one extreme to another, right?

I am actually struggling to figure out what to take this time round. We will be in Spain for four to five months before we come back to Australia but at the same time I did leave some clothes and shoes behind. The problem is that since my memory is amazing (not) I do not remember what it was that I left over there. Maybe if I did know packing would be a lot easier so I would know what I should take and what I could get away with leaving here. Anyway, I guess I’ll just do the best that I can.

It is Spring over there and we will be there for the Summer so I’ll take some nice flowy summery dresses, playsuits (rompers), sandals, and tops. As for bottoms a couple of pairs of jeans and some shorts are perfect. Also, I’ll take a couple of jumpers/hoodies, a pair of boots and just some warmer pieces because although it is Spring, we have been told that it has been snowing and that it is pretty chilly! I hope it lasts some time so that we can experience some fun in the snow when we get there, but not too long after we get there because I am really craving the warm weather and laying down near the river in my swimmers reading a book! That’s not too much to ask is it?

Also, a couple of very important pieces that I MUST take with me are my wedding shoes!! I cannot forget those hahaha They will be featured in a video I have coming up this week 🙂

Tomorrow’s post will be focusing on my makeup essentials that I will be taking with me to Spain! So stay tuned, and follow so that you are updated as soon as I post it!

I had in mind of filming a packing video for you but I have run out of time and am unable to. I’M SORRY!

Just a bit of an update about how I’m feeling now that it is so closer to the day. I am feeling nervous! I left Spain unwell and on a bit of a negative note last time, so the feelings that I experienced then have been kind of engraved in my brain. However, I’m trying to keep an open mind and enjoy the time that I am there. I have made a couple of friends (finally) so I am actually very excited to see them, and my family of course 🙂 I’m definitely not looking forward to the plane! 26 hours is not fun in a plane. Ok, the first few hours are ok but then you start feeling a little like Sharon from Kath & Kim in the episode when she is stuck in the sauna and is screaming “LET ME OUT!” For those of you unsure what Kath & Kim is, it is an Australian TV comedy series. It’s stupid but funny because of how stupid it is! Haha

Make sure to subscribe to my Youtube channel to keep updated with my uploads also! There are new videos up! I just uploaded my first STORYTIME VIDEO! It’s pretty funny! If you are interested in watching click here –>> VICTORIA BECKHAM HAIR CUT GONE WRONG!

BLOGGING EVERY DAY IN APRIL?!

Welcome back!

I’m so excited to be writing! I have decided to write a post Every. Single. Day. For the month of April! I’m not sure how I will go as I have never done something like this before but I am keen to try. I know I haven’t been as active on my blog as I maybe should be and there really is no excuse (apart from planning something really exciting which I’ll get into further along, so keep reading! 😀 ).

Since I have my channel on Youtube, my Spanish blog, and the blog that you guys are on right now, I find that whenever I am focusing on one site and attempt to introduce another site at the same time, I feel like I find it difficult to keep up with both let alone three and I become extremely overwhelmed! If you have multiple blogs or youtube channels, let me know if you ever feel like this! In saying this, I want to make it a goal of mine to focus on ALL THREE because it is something that I absolutely love doing and I love interacting with all my followers on each individual site. I feel as though I am starting to become more organised and I’m ready to take on this challenge. I have so many things to share with you guys and I am so excited to start!

Without further adieu, let’s get into the nitty-gritty!

Welcome to my first post of my April challenge. I just wanted to come on and give you guys a bit of an update of what has been happening with me these past few months.

Let’s start with some upcoming travel! There are only TWO DAYS left until I leave for Spain. As you know I was living over in Spain for 6 months up until December last year and had to come back home (Australia) for my health. My fiancé and I have been in Australia for three months and I have been feeling much better and enjoying the most of what beautiful Australia has to offer in the time that we have been here. This was the first time my man has left Europe so we definitely tried to see as much as we could in the little time that we had here and in between my not so good days. He has really enjoyed it which is fantastic!

Also, I have posted a couple of pictures on my Instagram (@talia_aus) with captions stating that my wedding is literally in FOUR MONTHS! Like seriously?! I cannot believe how fast time flies by! To say that I am excited is an understatement! So as you can imagine I have been planning the big day, running around doing what us girls do best, SHOP! I have ordered my dress in Spain and it is absolutely gorgeous! I cannot wait to put it on again! Every time I try it on I cry haha. I have also bought my wedding shoes from the Novotel Boutique here in Wollongong, Australia. Yes, the wedding will be taking place in beautiful Spain; in the amazing Spanish Summer ❤ I am really looking forward to saying ‘I DO’ and becoming a wife to my best friend!

While I am in Spain I am planning on seeing beautiful places and I will be vlogging these so that you guys can enjoy these places with me. I think it will be really fun to vlog again! I have not vlogged in public for so long so I’m nervous and excited to whip my camera out and share my experiences with you all. I’ll also bring you guys along with me while I choose the flowers for mine and my sisters bouquet and possibly some other bits and pieces. Please send me any ideas of some flowers that you think would be beautiful for my bouquet. The colour scheme is white and blush pink with a hint of green 🙂 Leave some pictures in the comments for me! xx

Ok, I think I have covered everything for now! I’m excited to post for you guys tomorrow so stayed tuned and don’t forget to follow to keep updated with my daily posts! Love you all ❤

How To Organize Yourself For An Overseas Trip

I cannot believe how fast time flies! It is Tuesday again and that means it is time for a new post 😀

Hey guys! I hope you are all well and are having a great start to the week. I’ve been sitting in my little office coming up with ideas of what to write about and I keep finding myself thinking about my travels; I honestly cannot get it out of my head! I’m obsessed. As some of you may know, I absolutely love travelling, seeing the world. It is such an amazing feeling! Even though I have not been to many countries in the scheme of things, I feel like I have traveled a fair bit and I do feel like I have quite a bit of experience when it comes to traveling. In two months I’ll be heading back over to Spain and although this time I will not be travelling for a holiday but something extremely exciting either way I thought I would write up a list of travel essentials that you must look into a few weeks before or even a few months before you leave. Some of these were given to me and others I decided for myself as I felt they could save me some time and stress while I am getting prepared for my holiday.

passport
This will most probably be the most obvious to you and you’re probably thinking “no shit.” but honestly you will be surprised as to how many people think of their passports at the very last minute and then stress big time, and on top of the stress having to pay for urgency. Checking that your passports are in date is extremely important. You want to check this out at least 3 months prior to your travel date so that you have enough time to renew it if need be and avoid the nail biting wait to see if it arrives on time. Also, I did not know about this when I first traveled on my own, but ensure that your passport has 6 months validity beyond the date you plan to leave the visited country. This is also very important as some countries may refuse you entry if you are not holding a passport with an extra 6 months on it!

travel-documentsTICK

Check and double-check your travel documents! I cannot stress this enough. No matter if you go through a travel agent to book your holiday or if you take everything in your own hands and book it online, mistakes DO happen! This has happened to me and it was very stressful. This is why I am telling you to not only check once because everything seems fine at the time of booking. I had received my documents two weeks before I was leaving for my trip and there was an error with the hotel transport taking me to the wrong airport I was meant to be leaving from in Paris! If you are an anxious person like myself then you can imagine how nervous I became when this happened only weeks before my travel date. In saying this, please know that things can be fixed. All you have to do is speak to your travel agency and with their help things can be put in place to sort things out. As well as checking dates, times and hotels, always make sure that your personal information is correct.

    tmc
These cards are like a debit card and are essential for traveling to different countries. You load it up before you leave with the currencies that you need for each country that you are going to visit. Generally, these cards hold up to 5 different currencies but to make sure please check with the company from which you purchased your travel money card. Always take a look at the currency exchange rates before you load up your card as this could save you some money. If you find that the exchange rates are really good on a particular day, make sure you change as much money as you think you will need and a bit more to be safe on that day. But also don’t wait too long and keep thinking “I’ll wait until the rates go down a bit more…” because chances are they’ll only increase and then you will be kicking yourself that you did not take advantage of that particular day. Trust me… I have done this many times 😦

cash-money

I would not only rely on your travel money card or your credit card (I would definitely take both of these cards with you by the way). I advise that you take some cash on you just in case. Things do go wrong, for example the eftpos machine is not working or will not accept your card, which is highly unlikely but it CAN happen. So 100% take cash with you in the currency that corresponds to the country you are traveling to.

 airline-rules
From only being able to take 20kg for your check-in bag to 30kg, every airline has different luggage allowances. I recommend searching up the airline you are flying with or even giving them a call to be sure that you have the correct information. I wouldn’t just take someone’s word for it because they may have traveled with a different airline.

   PACKING LIST
This point is self-explanatory but just thought I would pop it in anyway as I know many people, like myself in previous years, do not write ourselves packing lists. I wrote myself a packing list the last time I traveled and let me tell you, it saves so much time! A packing list makes it so much easier for you while you are getting things together to put into your suitcases because you can tick things off your list as you pack them away. Also, check the weather forecast of the places you will be visiting a couple of weeks before! This way you will have a better idea of what you should be including in you packing list and what can be left at home. By doing this, it helps you with taking up kilos that you could have used for things that you actually need instead of things that you could go without.

research-locations          Now it is time to surf the net! Research the location of your hotels and of the places you are dying to visit. By searching the easiest ways of getting from A to B prior to your travels could save you time AND money while you’re there. If you know exactly where you want to go and exactly what you need to do in order to get to your desired destination, then researching this will make life so much easier and your holiday much more enjoyable and stress free. I always make a list of places to see and things to do before I go and then research away 🙂

transport

Airport and hotel transfers may cost a little more from home however it saves you the stress of having to organize your own transportation while you are in a different country and also the potential nerve-racking language barrier. I don’t know about you, but I would much rather have everything completely sorted from home where I 100% understand everything that is said to me and I know the dates, times and locations the tranfers will be picking me up.

Last but definitely not least, HAVE FUN with it! Organizing everything for your trip is all a part of the exciting travel experience!

Any tips that you would like to share? Leave them in the comments below 🙂
