Hi all! It has been quite a while since I have posted in this area! I have been
E X T R E M E L Y busy organising my wedding (only 22 days… I’m not counting… HA) and I have not had time to even sit down and take a breath. Today I decided to take some time out of my day and talk about something that has been on my mind lately. It is something that I have caught myself doing quite a bit lately and since it is Summer here in Spain it is beach and pool season and I know many girls are doing exactly the same thing as me. So let’s have a chat!

Many people always tell me that I am extremely confident within myself and also ask me how they can become that confident within their bodies. The truth is that I have worked so very hard mentally (and physically) to get to where I am today and to feel the way I do about my body. Although most days I do wake up and feel extremely confident and show my body some love by picking out areas that I really like about myself, for example:




“Wow! My eyes are beautiful and big”


“Damn my bootay is popping today!”


“I am a very kind person. I love to help people in any way I can. What a beautiful trait”





I do wake up some days absolutely hating certain areas of my body and I’ll literally sit there pulling and tugging at my tummy thinking “if only I had a flat stomach everyday with a few abs showing through” or “Urgh freaking cellulite you can piss right off!”. Let’s just be real, we ALL have insecurities in terms of our bodies. It is inevitable. No matter how hard you work to fix one part of your body that you feel needs adjusting, when you are happy with that area you will find another area that you are not so happy with and it is just a vicious cycle. Even the most beautiful celebrities have insecurities about themselves, so remember it is not just you!

We are extremely hard on ourselves. We are all different. We are all unique. That part of your body that you are hating on is usually the part of your body that people admire when they look at you. I can almost hear you say “but in school people always tease me about this and about that”. FORGET ABOUT SCHOOL! When you are done with school whatever those bullies have said to you means absolutely nothing! It should mean nothing to you right now! Usually people pick on certain areas of your body because they are insecure about themselves and the body part they choose to bully you about is generally the area that they wish they had. I remember when I was in school I was always told that I had a “fat ass”, in those exact words. Obviously I became a little self-conscious about my buttocks but I now see the girls that used to say that crap to me, at the gym working on getting a BIGGER BUTT! Like seriously, are you going to take in what those people say and lose sleep over it?? I sure as hell wouldn’t because it DOESN’T. MEAN. ANYTHING.

One insecurity about my body is that I feel like my hips are too wide. I honestly look at my body and think “my hips are so big that it makes my body look disproportionate” and other people have told me “I really wish I had your body shape” or “wow your curves are amazing, I wish I had curves like yours!”


We all wish we had something that someone else has! Doing this is not abnormal, it is actually completely normal! JLo does this. Kim K does this. Jennifer Lawrence does this. Everyone does this! In saying that this is normal it does not mean that it is fair to ourselves or our bodies. By doing this, we speak negatively to ourselves. Our minds work like muscle memory. If you are not used to training legs, well it is tough at the beginning and you don’t feel strong at all. However, if you keep training you become stronger and stronger. If one day you are injured or become ill and you have to stop training for a few weeks or months, when you come back to training, although you feel a lot weaker, it will never be as difficult to build up that strength again as it was the first time. Your mind works exactly the same! Repetition strengthens any aspect in life. Just like studying for an exam. You repeat everything to remember answers in your exam and no matter how much you think you have forgotten throughout the years, you will never completely forget anything you have repeated to yourself over and over again.

So why don’t we start being kind to ourselves and more positive and start loving our bodies for what they are. I would like for all of you reading to try and do something for me and most importantly for yourselves. Wake up every morning and look at yourself in the mirror, and this time instead of focusing on the areas that you don’t really fancy, focus on parts of your body that you love as you try and reach your goals of forming abs, or cutting your hair because your don’t particularly like the style. Doing this has made me change the way I feel and the way I treat my body. You should do the same!

One day to go! My goodness, with the weather that we have been having lately I’m not sure whether we will be jumping on a plane to fly to Spain or hopping on a boat! It has been raining so much and there has been so much flooding. Unfortunately along with this kind of weather comes tragic accidents. I would like to take a second to send out my love and condolences to those who have lost loved ones in this dangerous weather. Also, to those who have been injured, I wish you a speedy recovery.

Since I have hardly any time left I have decided to finally start packing. Yes, I have become one of those people who put packing off until the very last minute. I never used to be like this but I feel like when you become more of a frequent traveller you start to realise that you don’t need to start packing one or two months in advance! I know, I know. From one extreme to another, right?

I am actually struggling to figure out what to take this time round. We will be in Spain for four to five months before we come back to Australia but at the same time I did leave some clothes and shoes behind. The problem is that since my memory is amazing (not) I do not remember what it was that I left over there. Maybe if I did know packing would be a lot easier so I would know what I should take and what I could get away with leaving here. Anyway, I guess I’ll just do the best that I can.

It is Spring over there and we will be there for the Summer so I’ll take some nice flowy summery dresses, playsuits (rompers), sandals, and tops. As for bottoms a couple of pairs of jeans and some shorts are perfect. Also, I’ll take a couple of jumpers/hoodies, a pair of boots and just some warmer pieces because although it is Spring, we have been told that it has been snowing and that it is pretty chilly! I hope it lasts some time so that we can experience some fun in the snow when we get there, but not too long after we get there because I am really craving the warm weather and laying down near the river in my swimmers reading a book! That’s not too much to ask is it?

Also, a couple of very important pieces that I MUST take with me are my wedding shoes!! I cannot forget those hahaha They will be featured in a video I have coming up this week 🙂

I had in mind of filming a packing video for you but I have run out of time and am unable to. I’M SORRY!

Just a bit of an update about how I’m feeling now that it is so closer to the day. I am feeling nervous! I left Spain unwell and on a bit of a negative note last time, so the feelings that I experienced then have been kind of engraved in my brain. However, I’m trying to keep an open mind and enjoy the time that I am there. I have made a couple of friends (finally) so I am actually very excited to see them, and my family of course 🙂 I’m definitely not looking forward to the plane! 26 hours is not fun in a plane. Ok, the first few hours are ok but then you start feeling a little like Sharon from Kath & Kim in the episode when she is stuck in the sauna and is screaming “LET ME OUT!” For those of you unsure what Kath & Kim is, it is an Australian TV comedy series. It’s stupid but funny because of how stupid it is! Haha

The Christmas Tag!

Not long to go now!! I am beyond excited 😀

Since I have been sitting here for the past few days with a swollen and sore face due to having my wisdom teeth taken out on Tuesday, I thought it would be fun to do a Christmas Tag! I found this tag on the internet, however I have seen some youtubers posting this tag on their channels as well.

Time to answer the Q’s 😉

1) What’s your favourite holiday movie?

A: I have two favourite holiday movies and they are ‘Elf’ (of course) and ‘While You Were Sleeping’ starring Sandra Bullock. I absolutely love these movies and I watch them every Christmas without fail!

2) What’s your favourite Christmas colour?

A: My favourite colours for Christmas are definitely white and silver! Although here in Australia Christmas is during the Summer, I love the thought of having a white Christmas (hopefully next year I can live my dream of having a white Christmas 😛 ). So white and silver it is!

3) Do you like to stay in your PJ’s or dress up for Christmas?

A: On Christmas day I generally spend the day at home with my parents and my sister. We open our presents in the morning and then watch Christmas movies all day while eating yummy food 😀 Therefore, I love to stay in my Pj’s all day!

4) If you could only buy one person a present this year who would it be?

A: REALLY?! This is a question?! Oh my goodness…. I don’t even know… I would not be able to go a Christmas without buying my parents and sister a present 😦 But if I could only buy one I would have to say my sister or else I would have to sleep with one eye open… 😛 haha

5) Do you open your presents Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?

A: On Christmas Eve the family gets together at my grandad’s place for a big Christmas dinner and generally we open the presents that we receive from my aunties and uncles, grandparents etc. However, the presents that I receive from my parents, sister and Santa, I open Christmas morning as we gather around the tree.

6) Have you ever built a Ginger Bread House?

A: I have never built of eaten a Ginger Bread House! I want to though!

7) What do you like to do on your Christmas break?

A: On my Christmas break I love to spend time with my family since we don’t get to spend much time together due to our work schedules.

8) Any Christmas wishes?

A: Every Christmas I wish for the same things, for everyone to have a very safe and Merry Christmas spending time with your loved ones 🙂

9) Favourite Christmas smell:

A: Hmmmm favourite Christmas smell… Literally the only smell I can think of is food!! Haha Yep, let’s go with that 😛

10) Favourite Christmas meal or treat?

A: I absolutely love Panettone which is an Italian sweet Christmas bread that can contain dried fruit, chocolate and custard mmmmm so good!

Benefit’s CORALista Blush | Product Review

Corals are of benefit to you this Spring & Summer 😉

A beautiful coral shimmer in the Spring and Summer days is a perfect addition to your makeup, giving your face a fresh glow.

I purchased Benefit’s ‘CORALista’ blush in America a few weeks ago, and I must say that I am loving it! I strongly believe that this blush is a Spring/Summer makeup collection must have. Sweep this beautiful powder on your cheeks with either a small amount of makeup for an everyday look or a glam night out makeup look.

Although this gorgeous blush adds a stunning highlight to the cheekbones, I found that the vibrant coral colour that is evident in the funky box is not as pigmented on the cheeks as one would assume.

Depending on how you like to apply your blush, you may want to take it easy with miss CORALista as when attempting to build-up the colour on the cheeks you may end up with much more shimmer than you were expecting and not as much colour. In saying this, I really do love the lovely highlight that this blush adds to my complexion with a soft hint of coral! I think that this colour looks beautiful on every skin tone, however I especially love how it looks on olive toned complexions.

Let’s Get Motivated!


Hey there girlies,

As it is getting closer to Summer I know a lot of us want to look great for our swim wear bods! I know I do 😀 But there is that little issue called “motivation” :/
Fitness is the key to feeling better and stronger in many ways, both physically and mentally. But it is not just exercise that helps you lose weight, it is also about the food we eat. Weight loss consists of 70% diet and 30% exercise! Did you know that?! It is crazy but true.

I know that it is sometimes difficult to get motivated to workout and eat the right foods when you are doing it alone. I know that I have a lot of trouble with this. So I was thinking that I would start a facebook page for women in which we all post our progress and motivate eachother in various ways, like posting pictures of ourselves working out 🙂 We can also swap recipes for clean eating and just workout and have fun by interacting with eachother through this facebook page 🙂 I came up with this idea through the Blogilates app as many girls were posting that they need motivation and they need workout partners. I think that this is a fantastic idea because I feel that if we all get together and motivate eachother it will be a lot easier for us and we will hopefully be seeing results quicker 😀 Let me know what you think about this in the comments and I will hopefully start this page in the next couple of days 🙂
