“We must not allow other people’s limited perceptions to define us” – Virginia Satir

Not everyone is going to like you in life, unfortunately, that is just how life is…

For people like me (which I’m sure there is many), we would love for everyone to get along and be friends with everyone in life. But unfortunately not everyone is wired in the same way. We all have different thoughts and perspectives in life but the most important thing in life is to stay true to yourself and love yourself for who you are. Live your life improving yourself each and everyday and learn to embrace your perfect imperfections. We all have imperfections; we all have things that we dislike about ourselves, but if we cannot change these things, why not learn to live with them? After all, these minute imperfections are one of the many things that make us unique in our own ways.

“Always be a first-rate person of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else”
– Judy Garland

There will be people that judge you and not everyone is going to want to befriend you, but the majority of the time it is better to not have relationships with these people. You may find yourself questioning what it is that you have done in order for them not to like you. Little do you know that some people are just very ignorant and judgmental people, and therefore you have not actually done anything. Some people are too caught up in their own little worlds that they tend to willingly ignore the bigger picture, therefore they find it fascinating to judge others without even knowing who they really are. Sad for them right?
Be happy and free yourself from negativity in your life. Do the things that make you happy and feel good about yourself.
And as Ellen Degeneres would say “Be king to one another”… But most importantly, be kind to yourself .

  1. This is so true. There are so many people in the world who go out of their way to judge everyone else. Usually these people are insecure and so they try to make themselves feel better by putting down others. It takes strength to ignore other people’s negativity, but once we learn how to ignore it, we feel so much happier.
